Yongxing Temple

Xi

Located in Luozhaikou Village, Wangdian Sub-township, Niansanli Town, Xi Temple is one kilometer from Niansanli Town. Established in the Ming Dynasty’s Hongxi Period (around the year 1425), the 500-year old temple is nestled in the Maotoushan Mountain, surrounded by the Wuguishan Mountain on the left and the Xiaqianshan Mountain on the right. In the north you could see the Jiulong Temple and the Zhugong Cliff, while in the west there is the Grave of Luobinwang. The charming mountain scenery together with a century-old pomegranate tree and other trees hold the tourists spellbound.

The entrance, the main hall and the Buddhist statue made of camphor are great attractions to the tourists. Thanks to the Party’s wise directions regarding the religious policies, the Temple had undergone successive renovations for 1 entrance, 9 rooms of 2 halls as well as 8 wing rooms and residences since 1987. At present, it attracts tens of thousands of worshippers every year, including some from Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as the domestic and foreign tourists.
