Recently, Mayor of Yiwu City He Meihua, accompanied by relevant department principals, made a survey on Houzhai Street, so as to resolve development difficulties and engineer development positioning and thought on site. He Meihua said: “Houzhai Street should grab opportunities resulting from Hangzhou-Changsha Passenger Dedicated Line (PDL) project construction, further make definite future development positioning and thought, make unceasing innovations in work measures, and promote the economy and society’s fast and healthy development.”

　　Standing Member of the Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor Tang Feifan, and Vice Mayor Wang Kuiming and Ji Jinfu etc., also attended the survey.

　　He Meihua and his team firstly inspected the construction of Hangzhou-Changsha PDL Project on site, and expressed their concern and solicitude to project builders. He Meihua pointed out that the kickoff Hangzhou-Changsha PDL Project’s construction was a new development opportunity to both Yiwu City and Houzhai Street. He said, “in the future, high-speed railway (HSR) will become an important tool for transportation, and the Hangzhou-Changsha PDL Station, located at Houzhai Street, will promote Houzhai to become the regional traffic hub. Due to this, Houzhai Street should grab such hard-won development opportunity and refer to the ongoing 12^th Five-year Plan. Through in-depth analysis on different aspects like strategic positioning, industry development, and social undertaking development, the street should further make definite its development positioning and thought as well as constantly redouble the city function construction. He Meihua added: “Houzhai Street should root in existing resources like industry, automobile trading, and mountain & water ecological tourism, give full swing to its geographical advantages (adjacency to downtown area), strongly develop contemporary service industry, bring together automobile sales & trading industries, exploit leisure, sightseeing, and tourism industries, promote industrial sectors’ upgrade and transformation, and cultivate new economic growth points. It should expedite the layout and implementation of its new projects as well as consummate the city functions in line with the requirements for building international famed commerce & trade city and passenger traffic hub. Furthermore, it should explore and boost the construction of new and large communities by new thoughts and new measures, as well as accelerate the construction of new countryside.”

　　He Meihua stressed that relevant departments should abide by “Two Creations and Two Improvements” theme activity’s requirements to strengthen the coordination and mutual support, for the purpose of boosting Houzhai street’s economic transformation and upgrade, and promoting its social harmony and ecological civilization construction.
