“No Safety Accident, No Wage in Arrears, No Litigation” goal serves as the carrier for the Party Branch of Zhejiang Shengli Zipper Co., Ltd. to develop the “To be No. 1 and Excellent” event. Focusing on foresaid goal, all party members of the company’s party branch gave full swing to their leading roles, and put forward pertinent improvement suggestions to the company’s different development links. That helped the company step on the road towards healthy and harmonious development.

　　Innovations in Event Organization

　　The Chamber of Commerce of Economic Development Zone consists of 157 enterprises, which control 85 party branches and more than 700 party members. Prior to the regional party construction activity, the chamber of commerce was faced with a dilemma, namely, “Numerous party branches but few party members; party members but no organization; party branches but no event”.

　　To shatter such hard nut, the party committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Economic Development Zone made innovations in the activity organization means, and it adopted “1+1+N” mode to partition the Chamber of Commerce’s subordinate 85 party branches into 8 regional party construction teams. In the “1+1+N” mode, the first “1” represents one party construction liaison leader, the second “1” refers to one regional party construction team, and the “N” means several party branches in the regional party construction team.

　　In light of the Party Committee of the Chamber of Commerce’s work system requirements, each regional party construction team shall conduct one activity every month, and party branches in the team shall serve as the organizer by turns. “New activity organization means make different regional party construction teams and party branches cultivate the ‘Mutual Comparison and Mutual Study’ atmosphere”, said a principal of the Party Committee of the Chamber of Commerce.

　　Characteristic Public Commitment

　　In the Commodity City Pioneer’s “To be No. 1 and Excellent” event, the Party Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Economic Development Area required the party organizations to make public commitment to the owner and employees’ interested company development and people’s livelihood issues while focusing on promoting the nongovernmental enterprises’ healthy, sustainable, and harmonious development.

　　Commitment content has three major characteristics: firstly, focus on trifles instead of significant events: all party members shall make commitment to those things that can be completed, and big talk and rash action shall be avoided. Second, focus on current development instead of future development: all party members shall resolve current urgent problems and issues for enterprises while taking account of actualities, as well as prevent the “Lip Service” from taking place. Third, focus on specific things instead of numerous things: all party members shall make commitment on not greater than three issues, in order to forestall “Lots of Commitments but Few Implementations”.

　　Through signing the letter of public commitment, all party members will seamless integrate the “To be No. 1 and Excellent” event with actual work, so as to fulfill the event in a down-to-earth manner.

　　Fruitful Results in the Activity

　　With innovative activity organization means, the Party Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Economic Development Zone, rooted in the down-to-earth commitment, brought up a group of advanced party organizations and excellent party members in the “To be No. 1 and Excellent” event.

　　Party Branch of the Best Group integrated the “Party Member plus the Mass” system with the “Employees’ Representative Congress” system to streamline the employees’ complaint & demand channel in such aspects as production operation, management, welfare, and spare time life, and it showed solicitude and concern to employees as well as improved employees’ life environment. As a result, it built the company into the “Cozy and Harmonious Home” for employees.

　　As the director of the Casting and Assembly Workshop, Liu Jun, a party member of the Party Branch of Shengli Zipper, put forward three proposals to the company in the “To be No. 1 and Excellent” event, and these proposals were adopted by the company in the long run. For instance, he proposed that the zipper puller should be modified from two points to four points in the production line, which greatly improved the company’s product quality and production efficiency.
