In the past few days, the cadres of Niansanli sub-district have gone to their respective contact villages and enterprises, deeply carried out the “go to villages and enterprises (markets)” extensive visits and got acquainted with the practical problems of the villages and enterprises to get rid of practical problems for them.

　　Diligence in visits. Niansanli sub-district requires that each cadre must walk to the destination in the process of visiting households. The first & second responsible persons shall visit all the households of contact villages prior to the end of May in accordance with village & household contact schedule of visit to villages and enterprises. 3 enterprises and 1 to 4 administrative villages are arranged for each member of sub-district’s leadership and certain visits to several enterprises shall be stressed. Other sub-district’s cadres shall visit the household one by one pursuant to grid division to get acquainted with the difficulties experienced in production & operation of enterprises face to face and keep abreast of difficulties.

　　Diligence in enquiries. Rural problems involve in lots of aspects. The cadres of sub-district shall ask targeted questions relating to many problems according to what they have seen and take the initiative to make friends with the masses to discuss the solution together. For this purpose, Niansanli sub-district has mimeographed 10,000 copies of feedback tables of “go to villages and enterprises (markets)” extensive visits. These feedback tables are made in four different formats and designed to survey the situation in four aspects, namely, enterprises, villages, households and market.

　　Diligence in recording. Niansanli sub-district requires the cadres to write down the needs of the masses. In this process, the cadres of sub-district are required to get acquainted with the problems of the masses encountered in the production and daily life as well as difficulties of enterprises existing in the course of transformation & upgrading and try to solve independently within the visit period; for those that can not be independently solved at that moment, the cadres of sub-district shall win the support of a superior authority for settlement within a limited time.

　　It is understood that Niansanli sub-district has about 17,500 households. Up to now, after the “go to villages and enterprises (markets)” extensive visits, with regard to Niansanli area, Huaxi area and park area, 975 households, i.e. 2,120 people, accounting for 6% of total peasant households, and more than 820 enterprises have been visited; besides, 323 problems related to new countryside construction, public health, family planning, enterprise transformation, etc. are collected. Therefore, the principle of finding out & settling problems and implementing decisions at the place where they occurred initially has been fulfilled. (By Wu Jiangping)
