Evaluation results of the Provincial Domestic Waste Treatment Work in 2022 were announced a few days ago, and Yiwu was rated as Excellent County (City, District), which was also the fourth consecutive year that Yiwu won this honor.

Yiwu consolidated the achievements in the establishment of excellent counties (cities, districts) for waste classification, continued to optimize the classification and delivery, collection, transportation and treatment systems, and comprehensively implemented the compulsory classification system for domestic waste in 2022. It realized improvement of quality and efficiency of urban domestic waste classification, negative growth of waste, zero landfill, and 83.58% of classification treatment rate, 2,005 cases of waste classification, and 592 thousand yuan of a fine; The Phase II of the renewable resources utilization center, construction waste recycling and utilization center project, and landfill related projects have also been steadily promoted.

Yiwu will be problem-oriented and make up for its shortcomings this year, and strive to optimize the municipal domestic waste classification, collection, transportation and treatment system by the end of the year, complete the policy and regulation system, basically establish the overall intelligent governance system, constantly deepen the “Two Fixed and Four Categories (Fixed Time & Fixed Point, and Kitchen Waste, Recyclables, Hazardous Waste, and Other Waste)” centralized delivery mode, comprehensively improve the domestic waste mandatory classification system, basically form a green production and life style, and make every effort to build a leading county and city for domestic waste treatment.
