Yiwu Forestry Pest Control and Quarantine Station Awarded National Advanced Title

Recently, Yiwu Forestry Pest Control and Quarantine Station has been rated as a National Advanced Central Monitoring Station.

On the basis of conscientiously implementing the requirements of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Zhejiang Provincial Forestry Administration, Yiwu carried out business training on monitoring and control of forestry pests, basic knowledge of fall webworm, red imported fire ant and autumn epidemic survey for the three levels of surveyors in cities, towns and villages of Yiwu so as to improve their monitoring skills and professional level. In addition, Yiwu has also been focusing on strengthening the construction and management of monitoring and early warning network, and fully implementing the monitoring of pine wood nematode, including Dendrolimus punctatus, Clostera anachoreta Fabricius, fall webworm, red imported fire ant and other forestry pests, with a monitoring coverage of 100% and a monitoring area of 7,417,418 mu. A pine wood nematode disease epidemic survey was carried out on 577,100 mu of pine forests in Yiwu. A total of 29,440 dead pine trees were found with an occurrence area of 98,755.5 mu. The occurrence area of Dendrolimus punctatus was 0 mu and the occurrence area of Clostera anachoreta Fabricius was 0 mu.
