With 120 days until the Paris Olympics, has the "World Supermarket" Yiwu felt the dividends of the Olympic economy? Clues can be seen from a set of data provided by Yiwu Customs: From January to February this year, the export of sports goods from Yiwu reached 1.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 70.5%. This increase not only reflects in trade data but also signifies the market's confidence in the "Olympic economy."

The quadrennial Olympic Games always spark creativity in Yiwu manufacturing. For this year's Paris Olympics, Yiwu manufacturing naturally won't be absent. Many merchants have seen a surge in orders, with some even placing orders as early as last year, with factories scheduling production until May or June.

Merchants specializing in sports event peripherals mainly concentrate in International Trade City Zones 1 and 3. The categories they deal with include national flags, jerseys, ornaments, glow sticks, cheer sticks, basketballs, footballs, table tennis balls, treadmills, and various other sports equipment and related derivative products. These products are primarily sold to countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
