Yiwu Provides Free Influenza Vaccinations for the Elderly over 60 Years Old

It was learned from the Municipal Health Bureau of Yiwu on September 7 that “Providing Free Influenza Vaccinations for the Elderly over 60 Years Old” was one of the actual deeds projects concerning peoples livelihood of the Peoples Government of Zhejiang Province in 2024. According to the project schedule, the free influenza vaccinations for the elderly over 60 years old in Yiwu is about to start and the residents in need can go to the local health centers (community health service centers) for vaccination according to the arrangement of the villages (communities) in an orderly manner.

The free vaccination service is intended for Yiwus residents aged 60 and above (born before December 31, 1964) with no contraindications for influenza vaccination and will be performed based on the principles of informed consent and voluntary vaccination. In order to promote the free vaccination of influenza vaccines in an orderly manner, the free vaccination services will be provided according to the principle of “in batches, at different times, by staggered shifts”. The towns and streets will reasonably arrange the vaccination time according to the actual situations and complete the vaccination as soon as possible. The vaccination schedules are subject to the specific notices of the towns and streets.
