Recently, the Information Office of the Yiwu Municipal Government held the Press Conference on Publicizing and Implementing the Policy of “Zhejiang Provincial Subsidies of 2025 for Old House Decoration and Partial Renovation of Kitchens and Bathrooms”.

Compared with that of last year, this year’s policy has several highlights. Firstly, it features the upgrade of inclusiveness. On the basis of the subsidized categories in 2024, items or materials such as certain types of boards, windows, wallpaper (fabric), and coatings are added this year, along with a catalog of eligible items and materials. Secondly, it offers flexible adaptation. This year, applicants are not limited to hiring decoration companies for renovation; they can also apply for subsidies if they hire workers independently. Those choosing to do so must upload the decoration (service) contract signed with the workers and the workers’ personal information. Thirdly, it provides cross-year continuity. Projects that were not completed in 2024 but purchases decoration items and materials in 2025 can still apply for subsidies.
