Recently, a batch of goods of cross-border e-commerce bonded import for online shopping (1210) was reviewed and released by Yiwu Customs and then delivered from the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center to the consumers who purchased them. This is the 100 millionth cross-border e-commerce import batch released by Yiwu Customs this year, marking that Yiwu’s annual cross-border e-commerce import list volume has exceeded 100 million for the first time. Yiwu has become the city with the largest business volume of cross-border e-commerce bonded import for online shopping (1210) in China.

The cross-border e-commerce bonded import for online shopping (1210), also known as the inventory model, is the main model currently adopted in cross-border e-commerce import business. Under this model, e-commerce platforms, based on market forecasts and consumer demands, purchase and import a large number of goods from abroad in advance in a centralized manner and store them in domestic areas under special customs supervision; then, the goods are delivered out of the areas as personal items to customers according to orders. This model has advantages in customs clearance efficiency, product quality, and cost performance.

In recent years, driven by policy dividends and institutional innovations, Yiwu has constantly upgraded its opening-up platforms and expanded its development space, injecting sustained growth momentum into cross-border e-commerce import business.
