In the first three quarters in 2023, Yiwu implemented a series of policies and measures to stabilize foreign trade and optimize the structure, and the foreign trade situation in Yiwu is full of tenacity and stability. According to Yiwu Customs data, in the first three quarters, the total import and export value of Yiwu reached RMB 432.1 billion, up by 22% year-on-year. Among them, the export was RMB 383.13 billion, up by 18.9% year-on-year; the import was RMB 48.97 billion, up by 52.8% year-on-year. The import and export, export and import value accounted for 11.7%, 14.1% and 5.0% of Zhejiang Province, respectively, with an increase of 1.6%, 1.7% and 1.5%. The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and the birth of market procurement trade. In the past decade, Yiwu has close exchanges in economy, trade and culture with co-countries in the Belt and Road. In the first three quarters, the total import and export of Yiwu to the Belt and Road co-countries was RMB 264.99 billion, an increase of 24.8%; the imports and exports to Africa and Latin America were RMB 79.35 billion and RMB 68.24 billion, increasing 32.6% and 31.6% year-on-year respectively; the imports and exports to India and Saudi Arabia were RMB 21.75 billion and RMB 10.86 billion, increasing 18.9% and 55.6% year-on-year respectively.
