Yiwu's Sixth Port Area is the first inland container port area in China that is neither coastal nor connected to inland waterways, setting a precedent nationwide. As part of the city's efforts to improve its business environment, on September 14th, reporters visited Zhejiang Guangxun International Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangxun Logistics"), Zhejiang Botai International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Botai Freight Forwarding"), and Yiwu Port Customs Supervision Place to gain a detailed understanding of the convenience brought about by the construction of the Sixth Port Area. On that day, reporters arrived at Yiwu Port, which is located close to the International Trade City. Container trucks loaded with goods were shuttling back and forth, creating a bustling scene. At the entrance of Guangxun Logistics' warehouse, a container truck that had just arrived from Yiwu with containers stopped at the platform, and workers quickly began unloading and loading cargo."In the past, we had to transport containers to Ningbo for pick-up, which took 4-5 hours on the road. It was quite inconvenient, especially when we had tight shipping schedules," said Miao Hongjun, the person in charge of Guangxun Logistics. With the deepening of the Sixth Port Area construction, Yiwu now offers services for container pickup and return, booking cargo space, and full-scale document signing, saving companies both time and money. |
