The train rides for miles day and night. Yesterday morning, accompanied by a whistle, the X9017 Madrid-Yiwu Train loaded with mechanical equipment and daily necessities departed from Yiwuxi Railway Station under supervision by Yiwu Customs and went to the five countries in Central Asia, which marks the successful start of the first Madrid-Yiwu Train in 2024.

In order to fully guarantee the stability and smooth connection of the Madrid-Yiwu Train, Yiwu Market Development Committee, International Land Port Group, Yiwu Railway and Tianmeng Company have worked together to promote the increase of railroad stations and expansion of railroad lines, and improve the quality and efficiency of the Madrid-Yiwu Train. In 2023, 1,608 trains departed from Madrid-Yiwu Train Yiwu platform with an year-on-year increase of 2.48%

According to the reports, since the first departure in 2014, leapfrog development has been achieved in Madrid-Yiwu Train Yiwu platform, from the 1st train to the 1000th, 3000th and 6000th train, from the 1st line to the 19th line. At present, the Madrid-Yiwu Train covers more than 50 countries and 160 regions in Eurasia and reaches more than 100 overseas stations, witnessing the great changes of the Belt and Road Initiative
