Since the beginning of this year, the Yiwu International Trade Market has seen its highest daily average foot traffic in nearly a decade — with over 220,000 daily visits.

The Yiwu Port Customs Supervision Area and the Railway West Station are bustling with cargo activity, facilitating east-west trade and connecting Asia and Europe. Each day, around 1,200 container trucks head to ports in Ningbo, Shanghai, and other destinations, while four China-Europe Railway Express trains arrive or depart. The city's total import and export value has continued to rise, reaching 560.16 billion yuan in the first 10 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 18.3%. Since the launch of the ZhejiangChina-Europe Railway Express, more than 11,000 trains have been dispatched, transporting over 930,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), providing crucial transportation support for China's strategy of "buying globally and selling globally."

Openness brings new vitality, and development opens up new space. The new chapter of Yiwu’s Chinese path to modernization is bound to create broader prospects amid ongoing reform and opening-up efforts.
