Recently, the Information Office of the Yiwu Municipal Government held a press conference on Several Policy Measures of Yiwu City for Promoting High-quality Economic Development.

This year marks the final year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, a crucial year for the high-quality development and construction of the Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone, and the starting year for deepening the comprehensive reform of international trade. To fully implement the economic work decisions and arrangements of the central, provincial, and municipal governments and further consolidate and boost stable and positive economic growth, Yiwu has formulated the Several Policy Measures for Promoting High-Quality Economic Development (Edition 2025) by comprehensively benchmarking against higher-level requirements and based on its own development orientation.

Yiwu has strengthened the policy package for scientific and technological innovation. It deeply implements the “334” scientific and technological innovation-driven development strategy and develops new productive forces in line with local conditions. It also increases support in areas such as reinforcing the construction of scientific and technological innovation platforms, intensifying research on key core technologies, encouraging enterprises to increase R&D input, and cultivating scientific and technological innovation entities, with the growth rate of whole society’s R&D expenditure exceeding the provincial average.
